24 February 2002
I was QRV on the 16/17 February to check my system before the 23cm SSB EME contest on the 23/24th. All seemed to be working well. Unfortunately, at the end of my session on the 24th, I had a problem with my PA and had to change a blown tube.
Heavy winds prevented operation during the 23cm SSB EME contest. The weather was much better the following day, and I made several QSO's.
Unfortunately my PA problems re appeared, causing me to reduce power by 4db to 300W while I get things sorted out. I need to make two new heat exchangers to fit the 12x1mm threads on my only good remaining tubes - Siemens 2C39BA's. Hopefully I will be able to get this done before the next activity weekend.
