06 February 2001

The activity weekend of 03 & 04 February coincided with the 23 cm EME ssb contest and I had hoped for a large turn out especially the "big guns".

I took the opportunity on the weekend  and the day before the contest to test my system. My previous problems with an azimuth tracking error seem to have disappeared and I made a few QSO's... so everything seemed OK.

During the contest I worked a total of 23 QSO's in 10 grid squares giving me a score of 450 points.

Activity was not as high as I expected especially in Europe with many of the "big guns" noticeably absent.

I added a further initial with W7BBM improving my standings to 145 Initials, 30 DXCC Countries, 6 Continents, 23 US States, 25 Large Grid Squares & 114 Small Grid Squares.
